Bangalore: Where are the women on tech company boards? "We took a close look at the Board membership of seven of the world’s most influential tech companies," noted My Tech Letter. "We also looked at Fortune five-hundred companies and Silicon Valley companies. Women are either not represented or underrepresented in a profound way."  Below is infographic which showcases these findings.  Although brief, the infographic points out an alarming stat about the state of women on tech boards.  Here, women stats are contrasted with the percentages of male employees in the tech sector. By showcasing the dearth of women in all these top tech organizations, the infographic in a way seems to question why there exists a shortage of women in tech boardrooms, and by doing so, shines light on the dark truth: the undeniable lack of opportunities for women to go beyond  the grass root level in organizations. The illustration   targets Facebook, Twitter, Pandora, Zynga, Angie's List, Foursquare, and even Pinterest.  (Although Facebook at present does have Sandburg in the boardroom). Take a look at the infographic below which comes courtesy of JUMPTHRU.
